Political risk and defense policy analyst. NAVAZO holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Complutense University of Madrid. He completed his master’s studies in International Relations at Columbia University, where he specialized in wartime public spending, defense policy, and international relations theory. The lessons learned there (regarding how our societies and bureaucracies respond to rising geopolitical tensions) form the core of the value proposition of the strategic consulting offered by his firm, Geopolitical Insights (.eu).

After completing his studies, NAVAZO worked for several political candidates and public officials in New York and Washington D.C. As a political risk analyst, he has collaborated with firms and institutions such as Eurasia Group, and the Spanish Ministries of Defense and Foreign Affairs. From 2018 to 2020, NAVAZO served as a senior analyst in the Department of National Affairs at the Spanish Prime Minister’s Office, where he took part in various intra-governmental consultations on a broad range of technological and geopolitical issues.
